Why Do I Feel This Way? - Exploring Your Inner World

This short video gives you a feel for what the Why Do I Feel This Way? series is about, and who it’s here to support.

Andrea Crabtree and Josie Cowley explore why so many people feel overwhelmed, confused, or unsure of their emotions, and how understanding the nervous system can begin to bring a sense of clarity, steadiness, and self-understanding.

Watch this short video to explore:

• why your emotions and reactions can feel confusing at times
• how your nervous system shapes anxiety, overwhelm, and shutdown
• why feeling “too much” doesn’t always look the way you expect
• what might be sitting underneath repeating emotional or relationship patterns
• how the Why Do I Feel This Way? series is designed to support you
• how you can access the series for yourself, or share it with someone you care about

It’s a simple way to get a sense of whether this feels like the right next step for you, or for someone you care about.

Get Started Now

A gentle way to begin understanding yourself.

A series of short, thoughtfully designed videos that help you make sense of what’s happening in your body, your mind, and your emotional world.

Not all at once.
Not in an overwhelming way.
Just one piece at a time.

Whether you're here for yourself or someone you care about, this is a supportive place to begin,  without pressure, judgment, or needing to have it all figured out.

Sometimes, the people we love, or we ourselves, are struggling in ways that are hard to put into words.

There might be anxiety, emotional outbursts, disconnection, or shutdown…
and no clear understanding of why it’s happening.

You might find yourself thinking:
Why do I feel like this?
Why does this keep happening?

And while therapy can help, it can also feel like a big step.

So what if there was a way to begin… more gently?

A Gentle First Step Toward Healing

This is a series of short, thoughtfully designed videos that help you make sense of what’s happening in your body, your mind, and your emotional world.

Because sometimes it shows up like this:

• snapping at your partner over something small… and not really knowing why
• lying awake replaying a conversation, wishing you’d said it differently
• feeling on edge during the drive to work, even when nothing’s actually wrong
• saying yes when you mean no — and then feeling resentful later
• shutting down, going quiet, or pulling away when things feel too much
• wanting to respond calmly… but feeling it build before you can stop it

These aren’t random reactions.

Inside the series, you’ll begin to understand:

• why these moments happen
• what’s happening in your nervous system when they do
• where these patterns come from
• and how things can start to feel a little more steady over time

You don’t have to figure it all out at once.

This is just a place to begin.

When things start to make sense, something begins to settle

When you begin to understand what’s happening in your body and mind, there’s often a quiet shift.

Not because you’ve changed anything.
But because things start to feel a little more clear… and a little less overwhelming.

  • • feeling a bit more steady in moments that used to feel overwhelming
    • having language for what’s happening, instead of just reacting
    • noticing patterns with curiosity, rather than judgment
    • feeling less pressure to “fix” yourself
    • beginning to respond, rather than react
    • feeling more connected to yourself over time

This isn’t about becoming a different version of yourself.

It’s about getting to know yourself in a way that feels more supportive, more compassionate, and more grounded.

And letting that understanding build, gently, over time.

    • finds it hard to put words to what they’re feeling
